The RSPB cliffs, 35 miles away at Bempton, is one of the best places in the UK to watch sea birds in their natural habitat. While visiting Bempton, stop off in Bridlington, walk round the harbor and perhaps take a trip on one of the skippered pleasure boats that skirt the coastline. Don't forget to leave without indulging in the fish and chips! Sewerby Park, with its parklands, mansion, petting zoo and miniature golf course is a short walk north along the cliffs from Bridlington, and a lovely location for a summer afternoon picnic and great day out for the entire family. Beverley, 10 miles from Hull, is an old market town with its own racecourse and a stunning minster, one of the largest in the country, with the present structure dating back to 1220. There is also a new shopping mall, Flemingate, situated close by.

Airport Car Rental

The city also lies close to the Humber Suspension Bridge, the longest of its kind in the world when it opened in 1991, which provides the route to the south bank of the Humber. The River Hull, which is spanned by a number of bridges, dissects the city. In addition, several railway level crossings, including the Mytongate Junction through which trains pass every 15 minutes during peak times, contribute to congestion during rush hour, and drivers need to take this into consideration. Unusually today, parking in Hull is under the sole control of the City Council and there are numerous, reasonably priced places to park dotted around the city.
